The McDowell County Emergency Management said crews were battling three wildfires in McDowell County that were first reported on Wednesday.Officials said the Crooked Creek Fire is located in Old Fort and the Watson Place and North Fork Fires are located in Marion.

MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — The other fire that's still burning in McDowell County is the North Fork Fire. It is located off Highway 221 North of Marion. In other terms, the fire is near the Woodlawn community. It's covering 200 acres and is now 20% contained, according to a U.S. Forest Service press release.
