Maserati’s halo sports car is the fastest autonomous car on the planet, beating its previous record by 20 MPH.

Before this, the record was held by another vehicle from PoliMOVE-MSU. Its IAC AVC-21 racecar hit 192.8 mph on the same runway back in April 2022. The team also had the record for the fastest autonomous production car, which was 177 mph, and set with another MC20. That record was set on the runways of the closed Piacenza Military Airport in Italy.
