Joel Embiid’s injuries aren’t just causing him to miss games; now, there is internal strife between the team front office and their star player. On ESPN’s “NBA Today” show on Thursday, insider Shams Charania said that there is “tension” surrounding Embiid and the team regarding the handling of his knee injury — for which he underwent season-ending surgery earlier this week.

This season has been a disaster for Joel Embiid and his Philadelphia 76ers. Embiid was never able to get healthy and only played in 19 games. The Sixers recently announced that the former MVP will undergo another knee surgery this summer and should hopefully be in better shape next year.
