A weekend deluge in Texas caused catastrophic flash flooding that has killed at least 89 people, with the numbers expected to rise. Following a long Fourth of July weekend which should have been full of joy and fun, Texans are assessing the damage and searching for those who are lost.

Houston and Texas businesses and organizations are accepting donations to help people affected by the Fourth of July floods along the Guadalupe River.

The flooding brought the Guadalupe to its second-highest point in history, according to the National Weather Service, which urged people in the affected area to move to higher ground.
