The Eagles beat Doncaster Rovers of League Two away from home in the FA Cup Fourth Round to secure their place in the next stage of the cup.

Crystal Palace took their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup after beating fourth tier Doncaster Rovers 2-0 on Monday to escape the fate of London-based Premier League rivals.

Crystal Palace moved into the fifth round of the FA Cup with a comfortable victory at League Two Doncaster Rovers. Daniel Munoz tapped in the opener for the visitors when Jean-Philippe Mateta's effort, from a well-worked free-kick, struck the post and rebounded into his path off home forward Billy Sharp.

Returning to his former stomping ground after three years in the Hull City chair, Doncaster Rovers head coach Grant McCann - who took charge of the Tigers from 2019 to 2022 - masterminded one of the shocks of the FA Cup third round against his erstwhile club on January 12.

Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner said he was hopeful of his side making a deep run in the FA Cup this season after they booked their place in the fifth round with a 2-0 win away at Doncaster.
