Unlike some odd artwork around DIA, the tents are there for more than just their looks. The white tents, which are about 240,000 square feet and big enough to cover more than four football fields, make up the roof of the airport that can be seen from miles away.

Denver International Airport opened to the public in 1995, and it has evolved quite a bit in the nearly 30 years since.

CDOT's Bustang Outrider bus service launched its new stop at the airport. The service takes riders on a two-and-a-half-hour bus ride from the airport via the Sterling to Denver route. It will also make stops in Keenesburg, Greeley, Wiggins, Brush and Fort Morgan.
