Handsome Brook Farms is recalling 10,800 retail units of the Organic Pasture Raised 24-Count Eggs, which it sold under the Kirkland Signature brand name. The eggs, the notice explained, are potentially contaminated with Salmonella.

New York-based Handsome Brook Farms issued a voluntary recall on Nov. 27 for 10,800 cartons of Kirkland Signature Organic Pasture-Raised 24-count Eggs.

Over 10,000 cartons of eggs sold through Costco have been recalled because they may have been contaminated with salmonella, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration said in a release last week.

The eggs were distributed to 25 Costco stores in these states: Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
