Tyler Alexander didn't get to Rate Field until around 1:30 for Sunday's 1:10 p.m. CT game, but he still managed to pitch three innings with one earned run.

The Chicago White Sox on Sunday signed left-handed pitcher Tyler Alexander to a one-year, $760,000 deal. To make room on the roster, the team moved left-handed pitcher Jared Shuster to the 15-day injured list (retroactive to Thursday) and left-handed pitcher Fraser Ellard to the 60-day list.
