Among Us VR is being transformed into a traditional 3D game for PC
Among Us VR has proven itself to be a major hit since first being released back in 2022. Now, developers Innersloth and Schell Games have announced they are rejiggering the virtual reality title for traditional PC players.
'Among Us' to release 3D version, releases game teaser
"Among Us" is getting a 3D version! Not to be confused with the VR version, "Among Us 3D" turns the well-loved game into a first-person experience. Developer Innersloth released the teaser trailer on Friday, showing the beans running in the hallways and holding meetings.
Among Us 3D Is A New Game That Brings Together PC And VR Players, Free Demo Out Soon
Innersloth also announced that Among Us VR is changing names in the coming months and will be renamed Among Us 3D. The studio also announced that it's launching a new in-game currency called "Stardust." Players can spend this on customization options, and this seemingly builds on the game's previous cosmetic microtransactions.
Among Us 3D will make the VR version playable without a headset, and it's coming 'soon'
Among Us 3D is basically the same as the VR version, but adapts it for play without VR-style controls, and adds a HUD. Crossplay between Among Us 3D and the existing VR version will be possible, so players of either can join games together.
Among Us VR to become Among Us 3D
Innersloth has announced that Among Us VR, the first-person 3D version of the social deduction game, will be dropping the VR requirement and rebranding as Among Us 3D. Among Us 3D will be available for Steam as well as platforms that currently support Among Us VR.
