Being the first entirely new Mario Kart entry since 2014 (if you consider Switch’s Mario Kart 8 Deluxe an expanded port), Mario Kart World has a lot to live up to for fans of the series. Two console generations removed from the last major reinvention, many younger players may be familiar with only one iteration of the game.
