As an EH members entry was free, and we did guided ourselves around the castle. The castle is in a reasonable condition and there are lots of rooms and the battlements to walk around but unfortunatel… Full review by Peter R

Yes it does. You need to check website for Carlisle castle for more information. There might not be anything for a while. They held event for First World War and it was great.

As far as I know it's open every day(except Christmas & new year etc)but the opening hours reduce in the winter.

Yes, there is a large public car park next to the castle, suitable for coaches and large vehicles, it is pay and display.
