The Memphis Botanic Garden is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to being an exemplary center for horticulture and environmental enrichment. Serving over 40,000 school-aged children annually, and hosting over 260,000 visitors each year, Memphis Botanic Garden strives to enhance lives by connecting people with nature, increasing awareness and appreciation of our environment. The 96-acre property includes 30 specialty gardens and a Level 4 Arboretum, which provide the ability to interact with various families of plants, flowers, and trees.

We had a really nice time. The grounds are well kept and organized. There are multiple places to sit and meditate. I left much more relaxed than when I entered.Full review by LeBonNomad

If you do a breeze through, could be an hour. but if you really want to look at the different plants & stroll through the Japanese Garden, Hydrangea Garden, Herb Garden, Hosta Trail plan on 2 hours. The children's garden, My Big Backyard, is at least an hour while they discover the giant birdhouse, slide, playhouses, & water feature in summer. Good luck getting the kiddos out of there!
